COVID-19 policy

Dear Richard’s Customers,

We have been closed for almost two months! Thank you to all of you who have ordered takeout from us
and who have been SO generous with your gratuities. We have given out over $7,000 in tips to our staff
thanks to you!

We are finally ready to open our dining room again! We will be serving Happy Hour and dinner
beginning Monday, May 19th.

We plan to add Sunday Brunch and breakfast in early June, once travel restrictions are eased and we see
more hotel guests.

And in June we will also be opening the outdoor Plaza on the 2nd floor of the hotel—follow us on social
media in order to be the first to find out about dates, times and menus for this exciting outdoor addition
to our restaurant!

Hours starting May 19th:
Happy Hour (wine, beer, cocktails and bar menu) daily 3-6pm
Dinner Sunday through Thursday 5-9pm, Friday and Saturday 5-10pm

We will continue to offer takeout from 5-9pm daily as well.

Of course, we have been working hard on our list of protocols, including staff training, for everyone’s
safety. These steps include:
 Testing all employee’s temperatures upon their arrival to work, sending them home if
temperature is 100.4˚ or above
 Requiring all employees to wear masks and gloves, and to adhere to handwashing and glove-
changing protocols provided by the CDC and WHO
 Rigorous and regular sanitizing of the kitchen and dining room, with particular attention paid to
high-touch areas
 Hand sanitizer and hand wipes widely available for staff and guests
 Proper social distancing of tables, not permitting waiting in the lobby area, and not permitting
sitting or standing at the bar
 Restricting entrance for guests through our front door only in order to maintain social distancing
while seating. Outdoor seating will be available in case there is a wait
 Disposable, one-use menus
 Flatware rolled and sealed
 Salt and pepper and other condiments available only upon request; sanitized after each use
 Assigning one person to handle all payment transactions, sanitizing check presenters and pens
after each use
 Tables bussed by one person and re-set by another in order to avoid cross-contamination of
linens, glassware and flatware.
 All tables, chairs, banquettes wiped down between guests
 Certifying our vendors by requiring letters of product-handling protocols
 Maintaining our kitchen with zero violations standards with Central District Health (license
 Supporting the Inn at 500’s commitment to be the cleanest and safest hotel in Idaho

 Relying on guests to self-monitor their health and to stay home if they’re ill—we’re all in this
