In an intimate kitchen setting, Emanuela Stuchhi of Badia a Coltibuono with the assistance of Executive Chef Richard Langston

will be teaching a hands-on class on traditional Italian Cuisine.

This one-of-a-kind culinary experience includes: hors d'oeuvres, cooking materials & supplies, ingredients, dinner, wine pairings and an open bar.

We spent two weeks in Italy in October, tasting our way through Chianti, Florence, Siena, and Rome. We took a cooking class at Badia a Coltibuono, and visited four wineries—all represented on this menu and featured on our wine list. We explored narrow winding streets with a myriad of family-owned restaurants and sidewalk cafes, dodged scooters, toured a 2,000-year-old wine cellar under a restaurant that is a “mere” 500 years old. Two rooftop bars, many scoops of gelato, plates of pasta, countless cups of espresso, quite a few bottles of wine, some Negronis, and many many steps (our Apple watches were proud). This Taste of Italy menu is a mere hint of what we ate and drank, but we hope it expresses a little of what we love about Italy-- great food and wonderful wine shared with friends.
